Module aims
Delivered by our partners at NITE and Coventry University, our MA in Educational Leadership comprises of six modules and an ‘action-research’ project, the qualification is typically part-time over two years, flexible based on personal/professional needs.
Flexible delivery includes modular study with exit awards: Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits) or Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits). Our blended version includes two 3-day residentials, fostering peer support and collaboration at the Silverstone campus, with accommodation and meals covered.

Entry Requirements for our MA Educational Leadership
Prior learning and experience in teaching or schools is not a prerequisite of acceptance onto the qualification. Trainees can include recent graduates who have secured a teaching or teaching assistant job in a school, career changers and teachers/assistants who have worked in a school for a time but have no formal teaching qualification.
To gain entry to the qualification, all trainees must:
- Employment – Be employed in a school for the duration of your study
- Higher education – Hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent as assessed by NARIC
Academic qualifications
The minimum entry requirement is a 2:2 honours degree plus relevant experience
Students from outside the UK are expected to have equivalent entry qualifications
English Language Requirements
- Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall.
- Participants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written English language equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with no component less than 5.5, or TOEFL 600. If you have IELTS 6.0 you may be eligible to study our online pre-sessional English qualification.

Salary Grant – The UK Teaching Salary Grant serves as a vital financial support system for educators, offering supplementary assistance to both new entrants and experienced professionals in the teaching field. This grant functions as a contribution towards the salary of qualified teachers, aiding schools in recruiting and retaining talented individuals. Whether it’s supporting newly qualified teachers embarking on their career journey or providing incremental assistance to seasoned educators, this grant stands as a pivotal component in the financial landscape of UK education.
Government co-investment – For employers that do not currently pay any apprenticeship levy contributions, there is a government-supported co-investment programme through which the central government will contribute 95% to the cost of an apprenticeship meaning this route is one open to all schools.
