How our programmes help schools
Our programme has been designed with schools at the forefront. We are part of one of the largest UK-based education recruitment and training organisations and understand the difficulties schools are experiencing with recruitment and retention. We believe our innovative programmes are helping our partner schools overcome the recruitment and retention crisis. Our programmes give schools and school leaders the ability to shape their new teachers to match the teaching ethos to their school.
Apprenticeships
Levy paying schools can use their digital apprenticeship account to pay for training for their trainee teachers via The Teacher Training College. This minimises cost and is open to both existing staff or trainee teachers sourced via The Teacher Training College.
UPSKILL ROUTE
Qualify your unqualified staff
You can now offer a full university provided PGCE with QTS training programme for your degree-holding, unqualified staff members.
By providing a full year-long PGCE with QTS qualification through a Level 6 teaching apprenticeship the trainee will not only be continually developing, but they will also be developing their skills in a classroom 5 days a week for 38 weeks of the academic year.
‘What if we don’t pay into the levy?’
For employers that do not currently pay any apprenticeship levy contributions, there is a government supported co-investment programme through which central government will contribute 95% to the cost of an apprenticeship meaning this route is one open to all schools.
Subject shortage areas
We have a bespoke attraction method dedicated to the recruitment of trainee teachers in all secondary subject shortage areas. Using our bespoke funding model, we ensure that Science, English, Maths, Computing and DT degree qualified candidates are incentivised to train with us.
Using The Teacher Training College’s unique pre-teach innovative programme you can be confident that the candidate is motivated, well rounded and the right fit for your school before they commence the formal PGCE programme.
